The fish market in Tsukiji is the largest one in the world.
Do you know the second largest market?
That is Sydney’s!
If you visit there from 5:30am to 6:15am, you can enjoy Tuna auction. However, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has decided to limit the number of tourists there. I do understand them, because it is actually very bothering the people working there. Please follow their rules, like NO flash and DO NOT TOUCH FISHES or FOODS!!!
I know that you now need to know the good SUSHI restaurant in Tsukiji, right?
My recommendation is….
SUSHI KANSUKE : 4 Go-Kan, 5-2-1 Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo / TEL: 03-3541-2458
http://r.gnavi.co.jp/a836712/ ( only Japanese)
You can choose NETA(fishes) as you like.
Open: 6am-9pm (close 3pm-5pm) / weekdays
6am-3pm / Saturday and when the market is closed
Close: Sunday
Of course, you can explore other restaurants! The price of set menu in Tsukiji is around 2,000yen or 3,000yen. You might think it is not reasonable, but SUSHI is extremely fresh and tasty!
The early bird catches the worm!!
